Chocolate Peanut Butter Treats | Fertility Naturopath

Spooky season is here. And with it comes the scary onslaught of sugary products in the marketplace, at the office and pretty much everywhere. But no need to fear. I’m here with a delicious, and still pretty nutritious alternative to enjoy this season.

Ingredients:

1 cup all-natural, unsweetened, organic peanut butter + 1/2 cup for topping

1/4 cup keto maple syrup

1 pinch sea salt + 1 pinch for topping and extra for sprinkling on top

1 cup almond flour

1 cup dark, sugar-free chocolate chips

Methods:

  1. Line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper.

  2. Mix together peanut butter, maple syrup, salt and almond flour until well combined.

  3. Use a spatula to scrape the mixture into the baking dish. Spread it out into an even layer.

  4. Bring a saucepan of water to a boil on the stove. Place a glass bowl over the saucepan. Pour in chocolate chips and peanut butter and sea salt.

  5. Stir constantly until melted and well combined.

  6. Carefully pour the mixture onto the peanut butter layer in the baking dish.

  7. Sprinkle with sea salt.

  8. Freeze for 1 hour before cutting into squares.
