Sprouting Broccoli Seeds | Fertility Naturopath

Broccoli sprouts are incredible for managing estrogen levels. I use them often for patients with high estrogen levels, cysts, fibroids and other estrogen-sensitive concerns.

1 cup of broccoli sprouts has the same estrogen-managing power as 7 cups of broccoli.

They can be pricey in the grocery store, so I thought I would share with you how to grow them yourself.

Here’s what you’ll need…

Items:

3 Tbsp broccoli seeds (check them out on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3AY22sn)

Filtered water

Sprouting jars (check them out on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3pfwBaw)

And here’s how to get sprouting…

Steps:

  1. Start by covering the seeds with filtered water and soaking for 8 hours (or overnight).

  2. Drain the water off and divide the seeds between your sprouting jars.

  3. Water your seeds twice daily with 1 cup of filtered water per watering session. Be sure to drain off the water.

  4. Within 4 days and up to 7 days you’ll be able to harvest the seeds.

  5. Rinse the sprouts with cold water to get any remaining seeds off.

  6. Dry and store in the fridge for 2-3 days or eat right away.

Here are a few ways you can use the sprouts:

  1. On top of a salad.

  2. On top of a bowl (like my Buffalo Chicken Quinoa Bowl)

  3. In a wrap.

  4. On top of scrambled eggs.

  5. In a smoothie (like my Broccoli Berry Smoothie)

Remember, this does not replace medical advice. Check with your healthcare provider before making any dietary changes.
